Even though the no. of deaths are on higher side, the situation in Bangalore is still ok. You can travel to Bangalore, but take precautions - carry masks, especially for your son since children have lower immune and are more likely to catch it. Personal and public hygiene is the best way to combat virus and bacterial infections. One should wash hands regularly with a good detergent soap and disinfect the surroundings, especially toilets and other humid places. Despite ecological/environmental objections the best way to disinfect is to use chlorine based solutions. As in swimming pools, the place would stink of chlorine and too much of it is certainly bad so just use dilute solutions but on a regular basis and wash hands thoroughly afterwards especially before eating so as not to ingest or inhale too much chlorine.
