Kashid receives lots of rains during this time of the year. Most people prefer to go to beaches for sun bathing after the monsoons when the climate gets cooler. Hence there would not be much rush during this time. If you enjoy rains and want to get wet on the beach, then it would be a good place to go. Changu I went to Changu lake and Nathula this February. The lake is not frozen as such but some ice can be seen. Nathula had snow and should have snow in March also. However, there would not be any snowfall in case you are expecting that. Posted in Gangtok Travel Forum, 4 days ago

Take the following route: Pune -> Mumbai by bus - around Rs 300 and 2 hours Mumbai -> Delhi by flight - around Rs 2000 and 2 hours Delhi -> Agra by road/train - around Rs 200 and 3 hours. Taj Mahal is in Agra. Entrance Fee - Rs 500 for foreigners. There are also some direct trains from Pune to Agra which would take around 22 hours and cost around Rs 500. I wish i could agree with the above reply that gangtok can be visited any time... You are right, most of these hill stations get too cold in the months of dec, jan and feb. But coldness is also pretty subjective and varies from person to person as lots of people go to hill stations during these months to enjoy the snow.
