The holy city of Tirupati is well connected to Chennai via regular flights, buses and trains. Direct flights are not available from Chennai, most of the flights halt at Hyderabad. The prices are also quite low and easily affordable.
Direct express trains too connect Tirupati from Chennai. Tourists also have the option of taking a bus for Tirupati from Chennai. AC Volvo as well as deluxe and semi-deluxe buses connects the two cities. Buses take approximately 4-5 hours to complete the journey. Taxis too can be hired from Chennai and charges approximately Rs 2,000-5,000 for a round trip.
