Bangalore to mantralaya trip from train
Hi i am shabarish basically from bangalore, i use to visit mantralya every year, i use to go by train, from bangalore there are 3 trains, i.e Lokamanya tilak, Udyan and hampi express,
the timings of the train are as follows, Udyan express starts at evening 8:30 pm, Lokamanya tilak starts from bangalore at 3:00pm, and Hampi express at 10:30 pm from bangalore
The Udyan express, starts AT 8:30 PM reaches mantralayam road at morning 4:30 pm, Lokamanya tilak starts at 3:00pm from bangalore and reaches mantralayam road at night 11:45 pm, Hampi express starts from bangalore at 10:30 pm and reaches mantralayam road, 7:30 am
If the people they are taking lokamanya tilak train it reaches night at 11:45 pm in mtrlym road, there are no bus facility in night, auto guys they charge you more
Distance from mantralayam road to mantralaya is 20 kms, it hardly takes half an hour journey
so better to take udyan express, after reaching the mantralayam road lot of auto wala people will be there they will take u to mantralaya, and even buses are there, buses they charge u 15rs per head, and auto guys they charge you 20 rs per head, but better to go in the bus, if u won't get any buses then u can catch auto, after reaching mantralaya u need to take private rooms, always the temple rooms will be full, and they won't give the rooms for single persons,
there are better private hotels are there charges are ok, u can have the bath in tungabadra river or in ur rooms it depends upon the persons convinient, then visit to temple, first u need to visit one small temple is there in mantralaya, then u can visit to main temple, guys while entering into the temple they should remove the banian and shirts, darshan will take approximately half an hour if the rush is more then it takes around maximum 1 hour, and collect the free food coupons distributed inside the temple, for brahmins there is a seprate food hall, for other casts there is one hall, and collect the parimala prasadam u need to pay for it
In mantralaya there are few good hotels for break fast, like Mantralaya tiffin room, udupi hotel, and evening snacks u will get like bajji bonda from street vendors, once in a while u can have it for change
In mantralayam road, you will get some few hotels, people can purchase good vegetables in mantralayam road,
there are medical shops, and soft drinks are availble, one important suggestion from my side is people can have bisleri water in mantralaya don't take any local waters
While coming back from mantralaya to mantralayam road, u can catch auto or buses, again there are three trains from mantralayam road to bangalore,
Lokamanya tilak starts at afternoon 12:30 pm from Mtlym rd, reaches bangalore night at 10:30 pm,
Hampi link express starts at 7:45 from Mtlym rd, reaches bangalore next day morning at 6:30 am
Udyan express starts at night 10:30 from Mtlym rd, reaches bangalore next day morning at 9:00am
better to take Hampi link express, (this train will be always full) you need to book the tickets ASAP when u are planning for journey,
Hampi link express stops at guntakal at 2 hrs while coming from mantralayam road, people can have there dinner in guntakal, u will get nice upma, vada or pongal in the night times at 10;00pm
