The panoramic hill station of Coorg is directly connected to Bangalore only via roads. Since Coorg does not have its own airport, air travel is not poosible. Coorg also does not have its own railway station and the nearest railway head is at Mysore and daily trains are available from Bangalore.
Buses are the most common means of transport between the two cities. KSRTC operates regular Volvo as well as deluxe buses from Bangalore that take around 4 hours to complete the journey. Alternatively taxis too can be hired and cost Rs 5,000-7,000 for return journey.
