There's another way which most of ppl and even buses follow...
From around 35-40 kms from Kolhapur there's a place called Nipani(few Kms after Karnataka's 1st toll booth).
1. Take right from Nipani.(a T point will come after 40-50 kms- take right from there)
2. Go Straight to Sawantwari (around 90-100 kms from NIPANI)- ask ppl for way to sawantwari...

If you are coming from Pune,Satara,Kolhapur.., instead of Nipani.....go ahead a bit .....and take the right turm from Sankeshwar >> Gadhinglaj >> Ajara >> Ghatkar >> Amboli >> Sawantwadi Route to Goa. Road is pretty good. Took that road a week ago. The right turn from hotel kaveri is not that good option because of bad road condition.

Is there any board or landmark? how many kms from Nipani - Hotel Kaveri is this?

dont take turn from nipani for goa
wanna go short then go from kolhapur to gaganbawda then to mumbai goa highway but road condition is ok ok
want best road condition then go till belgaum then go towards goa road is awsum

GUYS... THIS IS THE CORRECT ROAD. BUT IF YOU WANT A GOOD SHORCUT, TAKE A RIGHT-TURN AFTER "NIPANI"...SEE THE RED LINE...AND COME VIA UTLR-AJRA-SAWANTWADI...THROUGH THE AMBOLI GHAT. ITS BEAUTIFUL AND FAST. THE IDEA IS TO LOOK OUT FOR "HOTEL KAVERI AFTER NIPANI GAON.. TOLL NAKA.. TURN RIGHT ON THE SEMI-KUCCHA ROAD AFTER HOTEL KAVERI...FOLLW THAT ROAD AND YOU WILL HEAD STRAIGHT TO GOA.
