River Rafting - Brave the Water Grades
River Rafting is one of the most challenging water sports and enjoying this sport in the streams and rivers of Himachal Pradesh, is an experience you cannot savour anywhere else. The major destinations where people can indulge in white water rafting are rivers Chandrabhaga (Chenab) in Lahaul, the Satluj near Shimla, the Ravi near Chamba and the Beas near Kullu. The Himachal Pradesh Adventure tourism department conducts various rafting and water sports courses. The details are mentioned below
Basic Water Sports Course (12 yrs onwards) - 14 days, Jan to Dec at Pong Dam & Bilaspur/Bhakra.
Basic Rafting Course (14 yrs onwards) - 14 days, October at Kullu.
Intermediate Kayaking (white water) Course (14 yrs onwards) - 14 days, Oct & Nov at Beas River, Kullu, Satluj River, Bilaspur
Advance Water Sports Course (14 yrs onwards)21 days, July & Oct at Pong Dam, and Bilaspur.

Angling - Conversing with The Aquatic World
The charm of enjoying angling in Himachal Pradesh is non pareil. Often tagged as Angler’s Paradise, tourists come here from all over the world to fish for trouts, the most exotic breed of fish. Mahseers are the next best options to fish in the water bodies of Himachal Pradesh. Popular places where tourists can enjoy angling are - River Chandrabhaga (Chenab), river Satluj, the Ravi near Chamba and the Beas near Kullu.
