Tons of Visitors in Bangalore Flower Show

Bangalore Flower Show turned out a mega success, showcasing a variety of flowers. An exhibition comprising of Indian floral art, Ikebana, vegetable graving, Dutch art, Thai art, dry flowers, Janur arrangement and Bonsai.

The Republic Day Flower Show at the Lal Bagh, Bangalore turned out to be a huge success, attracting tons of people this year. Thanks to the Mysore Horticulture Society, for gearing up with such a mega flower show, giving a visual treat to the eyes with variety of floral displays. Celebrating its 100th year, the show exhibited Indian floral art, Ikebana, vegetable graving, Dutch art, Thai art, dry flowers, Janur arrangement and Bonsai. The society, in association with the Horticulture Department exhibited a mega heritage floral installation of Buddha Sharira Stupa, incorporating the theme of the show – “world peace and unification”. The Stupa was also one of the major attractions of the show. Other attractions one can enjoy on their Bangalore tours in South India includes a floral peacock in the glass house, a Pagoda - atop which a Buddha statue, a flower stream - a huge pot made of flowers, out of which poured millions of flowers like a stream and the beds of flower. Besides, a wide range of flowers were showcased from all over Karnataka, with some of rare species and best display of design made using flowers like rose, lilies, marigold and many others.


The last day of the flower show, Sunday 29th, being a holiday attracted tons of visitors (over 1 lakh). The visitors were even treated to a classical musical rendition in the evening. All in all, the flower show was a grand success, a perfect visual treat, showcasing the true color of nature.
