September 1st to 15th marks the fortnight long cultural extravaganza which begins with the inauguration ceremony which kicks off with a procession showcasing the various cultural troupes from different parts of the Ladakh. The parade passes through the city with artists dancing and singing to traditional Ladakhi music all dressed in traditional attire and bedecked.
