Kanatal draws its name from a lake in the region, which is also called Kanatal.
This lake has a temple dedicated to the Goddess Sati. The temple, built of wood
in a style that’s peculiar to the Garhwali region, offers a spectacular view of
the forests and snow covered peaks nearby.
Kanatal offers
tourists miles and miles of walks through quiet hamlets and verdant forests.
The crisp mountain air and friendly folk from this region make this town a
