Century Old National Park
Kaziranga National Park very well known as
dedicated to the conservation of the one horned Rhinoceros is in the state of
Assam, which is a popular place to holiday in North East of India. Home for two thirds of the Rhinoceros
population in the world, this century old park was declared as the World
Heritage Site in the year 1985. Sudden disappearance of the one-horned Rhinoceros
that roamed at the Ganga‑Brahmaputra basin led to the declaration of Kaziranga
as forest reserve.
Creation of natural habitat to conserve the
Rhinoceros also created a conducive environment for the Royal Bengal Tigers.
Now Kaziranga boasts to have the highest population of the Royal Bengal Tiger
in India and was declared the Kaziranga Tiger Reserve in the year 2007.
Sprawling over an area of 430 sq. km, it has a diversified eco

Ideal Time to Visit
The winters being the best time to visit
with the temperature varying between 5°C and 25 °C, the visibility is very
clear after the burning of grass. However, you can avoid the visiting around
Christmas and New Year as the influx of tourist is very high.

Kaziranga offers a unique experience to all
wildlife lovers and visitors. The eco diversity is both educative and

Kaziranga and Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport is located 250 km away.
These are the nearest airports from where you can either travel by bus or taxi
to Kaziranga. You can reach Kaziranga by taking train till Jakalhabanda (34 km
