  • Nakki Lake: The Nakki Lake is the highest artificial lake situated in India; at a towering height of 1200 m. Toad Rock is a massive rock formation which stands high over the lake. Most people enjoy quiet picnics at this scenic spot or embark on a blissful boat ride.
  • Mount Abu Wildlife Sanctuary: This extensive wildlife reserve is home to animals such as the langurs, wild boars, sambar and chital deer. Due to the monsoon rains, a variety of rare plants grow in this region.
  • Gaumukh Temple: This is a famous tourist spot built in honor of the sage Vasishtha. A marble status of the cow, Nandi, can be seen at a close distance to the temple.
  •  Gurushikhar Peak: This peak towers at an impressive height of 1800 m and provides an enchanting view of the surrounding hills. The famous Dattareya temple lies on this peak and is a popular attraction for those planning a Mount Abu tour in Rajasthan.

Getting to Mount Abu

Mount Abu is easily accessible by road as it is situated at a convenient distance to major cities. A shuttle bus service is available from Jaipur, Jodhpur, Ajmer, Ahmedabad, Udaipur and Mumbai.
