Best Season / Best time to visit Varsey
The prevailing conditions of the Varsey Sanctuary can be classified as wet and cold. The place receives rainfall for many months the year and it is located at an altitude of around 1000 feet. Summers are chilly and the conditions are excellent for visiting. Clear blue skies can be seen during this time and air is clean and crisp. The rainy season is long and precipitation is heavy during this period. Winters are cold and you can expect snow fall in the area during the winter season.
The summer season is the peak tourist season and one can expect the temperatures to be pleasant and comfortable. The mercury can fall to a low of 10 degrees Celsius during the summer season. Travelling with light winter clothing is a must. You can expect the temperatures to rise to around 25 degrees Celsius during the day.
The sanctuary receives constant rainfall from the South West Monsoon during the months from June to September. Due to the rains, visiting during season is not recommended. The months of October and November are a good time to visit the place.
The winter season is during the months from December to February. Temperatures can drop below the freezing point during the winter season and heavy snowfall is to be expected during this period. Temperatures are at its lowest in the month of January.
