Sant Nivrutti Nath Samadhi is located at Trimbakeshwar. Saint Nivrutti Nath was the elder brother of great saint Gyandev. Nivrutti Nath was assumed to be the Guru of Gyandev and Nath sect started with Nivrutti Nath.
Legendary stories tell that after the Samadhi of Gyandev, Nivrutti Nath went for a pilgrimage along with his sister and they were caught in natural disasters like thunder storms. He lost his sister during this calamity. Nivrutti Nath attained Samadhi at Trimbakeshwar.
The temple erected on the Samadhi of Nivrutti Nath attracts thousands of devotees. The temple is preserved with all its cultural and traditional values and the aesthetic ambiance at this place makes it a famous pilgrim center.
