Best Season / Best time to visit Thirunelli
The place experiences three main seasons and these include summer, winter and monsoon season. The conditions are pleasant and moderate throughout the year. Summer season may experience moderate heat and this reduces after the onset of the monsoons. Winters are a good time to visit as the climatic conditions are cool. The place is located at an altitude of 900 meters above sea level.
Summer season is from the month of March and lasts till May. Due to the reasonable altitude of the place, conditions are mild even during the summer months. Temperatures rarely extend above 28°C and humidity is also less.
Monsoon season is from the months of June to September. The place gets good amount of the rainfall during this period, particularly from the South West Monsoon. As with many other parts of Kerala, visiting during this period is difficult and not advisable. The place may also receive some rainfall in October and November from the North East Monsoon.
Winter months are the best time of the year to visit. December to February is the winter season and temperatures rarely rise above the 25°C level. The minimum temperature during this period is usually around 18°C.
