I went to Shree Thirunageshwaram Temple in Kumbakonam this Saturday for Milk Abhishek, which is only conducted on Sunday in three set of timmings starting from Morning 9:15 am, 12:15 am and the last and most popular one at 4:15 PM.Note,you book Your Abhishek Ticket in advance(65Rs, 100Rs and 500Rs)to avoide long que. In 500Rs Archana ticket they will alow 3 to 4 person to participate in Abhishek in first 10 rows in Batch. I sarted my journey from Bangalore in Saturday evening around 7Pm by private Taxi and reach Kumbakonam in morning 5 AM, with an hour break twice in between, via Hosur, Salem, Trichy,Thanjavour and Kumbakonam total Distance from (BANGALORE) is 390 Km, so be prepared for long journey. Best way to reach is via Train (Mysore Express 6232) from Mysore to Mayiladutrai, Via Bangalore (9 Hr journey). We stayed in Balaji Lodge (Near Nageshwara Temple) in Heart of City for 3hours for refreshment and reach the temple.For more detail Visit web http://www.kumbakonam.info/kumbakonam/main/index.htm
