Sydney Opera House is the signature attraction in Sydney that should not be missed on your Australian tour. A multi-venue performing center, the famous Sydney Opera House was built by a Danish architect Jorn Utzon and was opened for the public in the year 1973. The opera house is a landmark of Sydney as well as the Australia continent. The building was declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO on 28th June, 2008 and is among the list of 20th century's most distinctive buildings and one of the most famous performing arts centers in the world.

Located close to the Sydney Harbour Bridge, the building plays host to 1600 performance each year from the fields of ballet, opera, theatre, dance, music, comedy, kids shows, talks and more. Many cafes restaurants and retail markets are also located inside the Opera House. Guided tours are available from 9 am till 5 pm and its charges include a complimentary drink.
