The Sankat Mochan Temple, which is also known as Hanuman Temple is a popular religious site located 5 km from Shimla (Kalka – Shimla National Highway). Dedicated to Lord Hanuman the temple is known for its scenic ambiance which is perfect for meditating.

The place was discovered by baba Neeb Karori Ji Maharaj in the early 1950's and the temple was built in the year 1966. Easily approachable by bus or taxi, one will take around 1 hour to fully explore the temple.

Built in South Indian style of architecture, pilgrims flock here every Sunday in order to have the Langar. A large hall, which is an important part of the temple, is used for marriage functions as well as many religious gatherings. Tara Devi temple is a nearby attraction that can be visited.
