I belong from orissa. My hobby is to visit different new places. Right now i m working in assam. I had never seen shillong. I want to see beautiful places in shillong. I had seen your comments in internet that u r from shillong. I want to see beautifule naturally/historical/jegerophically place in shillong. Please suggest me at least 3/4 place which i can visit. A great hope that u may reply as soon as possible. Thnx Nayak

It's a place wer wonderful and past memories still continues to haunts me even though i'm far ....far away from it. the air we breathe ,,,,the cold ,,,the rain & the heat each season has its own chances to reminds us of the sweet memories we had,,,,,,,especially during christmas and new year times........really if there's something that i miss much at present...it's my hometown,,,My sweet SHILLONG........how i'd long to be there soon..............Batei's!!!

shillong is heaven on this earth but only for the local people coz non tribals cannot purchase houses, cannot apply for government jobs, cannot celebrate pujas properly for administrative reasons & lots more

shillong, my home, is the world's most beautiful place. or was. i just wish at least us Shillongites would not litter and pollute this amazing place the way we do. it's becoming hotter and hotter every year. as a child i remember water in tanks and pipes would be frozen on winter mornings, and our toes would feel like they'd fall off! sitting in the sun was amazing. so was waking in the morning to the sound of the wind in the tall pines and the chatter of children on their way to school and the church bells tolling. these days one needs fans to stay cool - especially in areas like Police Bazar. please let's save Shillong. let's start today.

Can i visit shillong in btwn 20th May to 5 June. Will it have rains during that time. Also let me know if Guwahati and Shillong are safe to visit in view of ulfa activities. Hurry up folks, i need to make reservations as well.

Had this view of one too many beautiful Shillong waterfalls shrouded in clouds from Sripur in Sylhet, when visited somedays ago and cant wait to visit Shillong overland someday soon...Inshallah. The view of the mountain, lake, houses over the hill are all too magical to say the least.

HEAVEN ON EARTH. VISITED MANY HILL STATIONS BUT NOTHING LIKE SHILLONG. PLEASE KEEP SHILLONG CLEAN. I HAVE HEARD SHILLONG GOING TO BE LINKED BY RAIL AS PER RLY MINISTER BUT I AM AFRAID IT WILL BRING RUSH & WILL BECOME COMMEN TOURIST PLACE & CAN SPOIL NATURAL BEAUTY.
