Ganifa Cards handmade from circular pieces of paper depicting miniature designs of 10 reincarnations of lord Vishnu are being created here since over 300 years. The game of Ganghifa (102 cards game) was designed, developed and spread by Sawantwadians. Shilpa Gram, the craft village, provides an ideal platform to local manufacturers to display their craft and wares to the tourists. Gandhiji was so impressed during one of his visits that he called Sawantwadi, the 'Ramrajya' (Utopia).

Konkan Railway has launched two special trains, which will run between Lokmanya Tilak Terminus and Madgaon owing to the increasing inflow of travelers. The trains will run between 26 January and 29 January. Read on to know more about the train schedules.
