Ranchi

Ranchi, the erstwhile summer capital of Bihar state and the present capital of Jharkhand state in India, is a scenic town in the Chota Nagpur Plateau. It got it name from “Archi�?, a Nagpuri word means Bamboo forest. It is located at a height of 2,140 ft above the sea level, entirely covered with reddish soil. Ranchi has been blessed with many magnificent water falls; in fact it can be termed as a charming hub of water falls, lush green hilly regions, barren rocks and greenish beautiful valleys.

Places of attractions are many in Ranchi for those tourists who look for natural beauty, calm and serene atmosphere and challenging hilly safaris.
