Ranchi, the erstwhile summer capital of Bihar state and the present capital of Jharkhand state in India, is a scenic town in the Chota Nagpur Plateau. It got it name from “Archi�?, a Nagpuri word means Bamboo forest. It is located at a height of 2,140 ft above the sea level, entirely covered with reddish soil. Ranchi has been blessed with many magnificent water falls; in fact it can be termed as a charming hub of water falls, lush green hilly regions, barren rocks and greenish beautiful valleys.
