Ramgarh, a serene and secluded cool hill station in Kumaon region of Uttaranchal placed at a height of 1789 m above the sea level, is renowned for fruits and orchards. This hill station is founded by Bristish and was frequently visited by many high profile personalities of India and British. The hill station carries the legacy of some ancestral buildings, used as inspection bungalows and temporary stay palaces for officers, dating back to British colonial period.

Travel within city

Ramgarh is hill a station situated on the road to Nainital. It is in the State of Uttaranchal. The local transport options are also limited. Some of the local travel options are State run buses, private buses and taxis.

Tourist Taxi

Tourists can also opt for hiring private cars from nearby cities and can keep them for the duration of the stay. This is good option as taxis may not be available locally. They usually cost around Rs 1500 a day excluding the driver fee. Overnight charges may also apply.

Government Bus

State run buses are a cheap and good option. They usually operate to all important places around the town. Tickets are cheap and cost around Rs 10 to 20. They can be hailed from the bus stops that are conveniently located.

Private Bus/Mini Bus

Private buses and Mini Buses usually operate along the arterials roads and the town center. They are more comfortable than the state run buses and are a good option. Tickets cost around Rs 20.
