Best Season / Best time to visit Rajgir
The town of Rajgir experiences three main seasons and these are summer, monsoon and winter seasons. Summers are hot and you find the place to be extremely dry. Visiting during this period is possible, provided all the precautions are taken. The monsoon season is extensive and this the only time when the place receives rainfall. Winters are cold and temperatures can drop below 10 degrees Celsius frequently.
The summer season begins in the month of March and ends in the month of May. Temperatures can vary from a low of 20 degrees Celsius to a high of around 40 degrees Celsius during the summer season. The conditions might be difficult for those who are not used to the heat of the Indian summer.
The monsoon season starts in the month of June and ends in the month of September. Rainfall is at its highest during the month of August. The temperatures are much lower during this period; however the humidity increases during the monsoons. The tourist season starts in the month of October.
The winter season is during the months from December to February. Temperatures can drop to around 6 degrees Celsius during this time. The maximum temperature that can be experienced is around 28 degrees Celsius.
