Paonta Sahib is a small hill destination in Himachal Pradesh. Located around 180 km from Shimla, the town is a popular religious destination, built in the memory of Guru Gobind Singh, the tenth Guru of the Sikhs. A large Gurudwara, located on the banks of River Yamuna is the main attraction here.
Paonta Sahab is an upcoming industrial town. While pilgrims come here to pay their reverence to the Sikh guru, tourists flock here to catch a glimpse of the lot of antiques and weapons used by Guru Gobind Singh, which are displayed in the museum inside the Gurudwara.
