Best Season / Best time to visit Panchkula
The region of Panchkula experiences a sub tropical type of climate and there are three main seasons in the place. They are summer, monsoon and winter seasons. Variations in climate are extreme according to the different seasons. Summers are hot and uncomfortable. The place is generally dry during this season. The monsoon season brings rainfall to the region and this period is characterized by wet conditions. Winters are much cooler and temperatures drop after the post monsoon period.
The summer season starts in the month of March and ends in the month of May. The maximum temperature that you can expect during the summer season is around 47 degrees Celsius. The lowest expected temperature is around 30 degrees Celsius. If you are not used to the heat, it is better to avoid visiting during this period.
The monsoon season starts in the month of June and lasts till the end of September. Annual rainfall is generally restricted to this period and humidity increases with the onset of the monsoons.
The post monsoon months of October and November are the start of the tourist season.
The winter season is from December to January and temperature can be expected to drop to around 5 degrees Celsius. The mercury rises to a high of around 20 degrees Celsius during the winter season.
