Best Season / Best time to visit Ongole
Ongole is extremely hot during the summer months and it is advisable to avoid this season. Monsoon season brings substantial rainfall and it gets rainfall from both the North East as well as the South West Monsoon. Winters are long and cool and they are a good time to visit the place. Thunderstorms and cyclonic formations are very common around the Ongole region and they bring substantial rainfall.
Summers are hot and temperatures rise steadily from March. March to June is generally considered the summer season. Temperatures during the summer season range from a minimum of 32°C and rise up to a maximum of 38°C. Humidity is also extremely high during the summer season due to the close proximity of the Bay of Bengal.
Monsoon season is from June to October. The region is affected by rain for most of these months. Low depressions in the Bay of Bengal are the reason for many of the storms.
Winter season is from November to February. Temperatures are mild and this is the best time of the year to visit the place. December and January are the coolest months of the year. Temperatures range around 32°C during this time.
