Located on the base of the Nandi hills, Bhoga Nandeeshwara temple which is also known as Nandishwara temple is a Hindu temple dedicated to Lord Shiva. Built during the reign of Bana Queen Ratnavali in the 9th century, the temple is one of the oldest temples in Karnataka. The original temple was renovated regularly during the successive five dynasties under Chola, Hoysala, Pallava and Vijayanagara kings.

The temple premise is huge and houses three more temples each dedicated to Arunachaleswara, Uma Maheshwara and Bhoga Nandeeshwara. Sringeri Teertha, which is a large indoor water pond, is a major attraction. The temple has rock cut steps which are lit by many lamps during festivals, thus creating a beautiful sight. Displaying the typical Dravidian style of architecture, numerous stone carvings adorn the walls of the temple. It is approximately 60 km from Bangalore.
