Best Season / Best time to visit Muttupettai
Muttupettai has typical South Indian inland climatic conditions with hot summers and cooler winters. Summers can be extremely hot and it is not the best time to visit. Winter season is the best time to visit the place as temperatures are much cooler and bearable. There are three distinct seasons that can be experienced in Muttupettai; they are summer, monsoon and winter season.
Summers are generally hot and extremely uncomfortable. The average daily day temperatures are usually in the mid thirties. Summer season is from the months of March till May. Summer temperatures range from a minimum of 33°C and can rise up to a maximum of 40°C. For those who are visiting during the summer, it is advisable to be prepared for the extreme Indian summer.
Monsoon season is from the month of June to September. During this time temperatures are much cooler and substantial rainfall can be expected. End of the monsoon season is a good time visit the place.
Winters season is from December to February. Winters are generally mild with temperatures ranging from a minimum of 20°C to a maximum of 28°C. Temperatures are much cooler and pleasant.
