I had visited so many times to mussoorie , when i visited Mussoorie with my friends for tour I really enjoyed very much that I had never enjoyed in my life.
So , I can say Mussoorie was just a marvellous place to visit.

One time go
If you have never seen a hill station or a ropeway, then go once, specially if its peak season, then weather must be fine and refreshing. We visited Mussorie during Sep 3rd week in 2009 and we found it 'much hype, less substance'-nothing like 'queen of hiils'. We had seen Manali, Ooty, Connor, Shimla , Panchmadi earlier. Good things- clouds in afternoon and eve make it pleasant even in Sep. Some good views e.g. from Gun hill, good shopping at mall road, ropeway trip, good to see kempty waterfall Bad things- Kempty falls has been commercialised and dirtied at the place of shower. U don't feel the nature and peace, in fact that can be said for whole mussorie. Lal Tibba is another useless place with old dirty binocular with no clarity of scenes.

Last week i planned to visit mussoorie on a weekend and chose to travel by uttrakhand state transport bus (AC) which leaves from Delhi ISBT (Kashmere Gate) to Dehradun every morning. I was told that there are buses leaving every 30 mins from morning 5:30 to 9:30. But i found that only 2 buses leave from Delhi ISBT to dehradun (8:30 and 9:30) and getting a ticket in them is extremely painful experience. So guys never try that option !!

its quite cold in january in mussoorie... so if u wanna take ur kid along don't forget to keep ur double woolen intact.

No dear, there will be no snow, but good climate. nights will be cold and day will be sunny. MAx will be around 24 anbd minimum temp around 10 degree

Those who want to go to mussoorie in december, they all be getting the snowfall + plus take all warm woolens/clothes with you especially for the kids as its too cold, and you will be missing the joy of "Kempty Fall", but the fun of both things are not available at same time, secondly keep some warm clothes out for the journey also as dehradhun and night journey is gonna be very cold. thirdly all those ladies who wants to get some beauty treatments done directly go to "Unique Beauty Parlour" near The old cinema hall, just before the entry gate for cars and all vehicles, parlour is operated by "Roma" (Very famous for her parlour), dont miss the tibetian market on maal Road Plus the chole wala standing near the market. and lal tibba and Tv Tower, above landhour and see the cross sign in the way to tv tower also see the school ground in front of that Cross Sign, its really loving. better catch a taxi for that place,
