Prince of Wales Museum, built at the beginning of 20th century, is located at the MG Road. The museum commemorates the visit of Prince of Wales to India. Presently the museum is known 'Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya' and the renaming had taken place after the Indian Independence.

The museum was built in Indo-Saracen architectural style. It has three major parts - Natural History section, Archeology section and Art section. All these three sections displays many valuable artifacts and materials price worthy to see. Rare displays of Buddhist tankhas and specimens of Nepali and Tibetan art add the charm of the Museum.

anieta yup this place is really great
such alot to learn from it
i have been there twice but wud love to go frequently
i also like the kinds of exhibihitions that they have
its good to learn for coll people like us
i remember last time i came in i spent around 3 and half hours in the museum
in liked the idea of havin origami , jute work exhibits shown to common people
gooood job
great maintainence
well done
