Mechuka is a small town that is located in the West Siang district of the state of Arunachal Pradesh. The town is located in the Mechuka Valley and this is home to the Memba people. The place has good religious significance to many Buddhists in the area and has a rich history as well. The main place to visit in the town of Mechuka is the 400 year old Buddhist monastery that is located on top of a hill. One can see many carvings, sculptures, and other artifacts in the monastery and it is must see while travelling to the place. There are many statues that are located in the monastery and most of them have been well preserved despite the age.

The town is a popular tourist location and one can see breathtaking sights of snow capped mountains and peaks. The culture and traditions of the numerous tribes in the region are also another attraction in the town of Mechuka. One can also visit the Indo-China border that is located nearby. There are many picnic spots along the River Sayom and these are also good places to visit. You can stay at the circuit house and the inspection bungalow while travelling to the town.
