Muniyara which is a part of Marayoor in the Idukki district of Kerala is a beautiful destination. It is the place where one can find and see remnants of Dolmenoid cists which belongs to the Megalithic Age.

Dolmenoids were burial chambers made of four stones placed on edges and covered by a fifth one known as the cap stone. Some of these Dolmenoids comprises of several burial chambers, others have a quadrangle scooped out in laterite as well as lined on the sides with granite slabs and also covered with cap stones.
