Best Season / Best time to visit Maranakatte
Climatic conditions in the town of Kanchinakodlu are very similar to that of the other parts of Udipi District. Due to the close proximity to Kundapur, they share many similar climatic characteristics. Summers are hot and humid and are not a good time to visit. Temperatures can rise to the low forties during this time. Winters are much milder and temperatures gradually cool after the monsoon season.
Summer season is from early March to late May. During this time the weather conditions resemble a dry and arid Savanna type climate. Summer temperatures range from a minimum of 30°C and can rise up to a maximum of 42°C. The hottest month of the year is generally May and this is not a good time to visit the place.
Monsoon season is from the months of June to September, however in some years this may extend up to October and November. During this time the North West Monsoon also brings some amount of rainfall. Visiting during the monsoon season is possible. Visitors are advised to be prepared for the rainfall.
Winter season is from the months of December to February. Temperatures range from a minimum of 22°C and can rise up to a maximum of 33°C. This is a good time to visit.
