Situated in the Malappuram district of Kerala, the Kadalundi Bird Sanctuary, is spread over a cluster of islands where the Kadalundipuzha River flows into the Arabian Sea.
Located 19 km from Kozhikode, the sanctuary is home to over a hundred species of native birds, including around 60 species of migratory birds. Birds like terns, gulls, herons, sandpipers, cormorants, Whimbrels and Brahminy Kites make this sanctuary their home. The sanctuary is also known for its variety of fish, mussels and crabs.
