Best Season / Best time to visit Malabar
The region of Malabar enjoys a tropical monsoon climate, as rain is incessantly present in varying amounts throughout the year. The climate in Malabar is thus extremely humid, and temperatures tend to soar during the summer months.
The summer months in Malabar are March, April and May and the temperature during these three months hits an all year high. Humidity is high, and this can make things uncomfortable. The highest temperature during these summer months is around thirty nine degrees (39°C) and the lowest temperature is around twenty nine degrees (29°C).
The south west monsoon follows the summer months and showers start from the month of June. The monsoon months in Malabar are June, July, August and September. Malabar experiences heavy rainfall during these months, as both the south west monsoon and the north east monsoon follow each other consecutively. The northeast monsoon sets in during October and November.
Malabar experiences winter during the months of December, January and February. The temperature during these months is quite low, due to incessant rains. The maximum temperature during winters is twenty five degrees (25°C) and the minimum temperature is fourteen degrees (14°C). Winters are moderately cold, and this is the best time to visit Malabar.
