Best Season / Best time to visit Madurai

Madurai has hot and dry climate for most part of the year. The best time for visiting the place is from October to March.
  • Winters (December to February) are pleasant the temperature ranges within 18°C to 32°C. These months are favorable for sightseeing and temple visits.
  • Summers (March to June) are exceedingly hot with temperature hovering around 26°C to 41°C. The climate is very hot especially May and June. Most tourists don’t prefer to take up Madurai tour packages since the weather is hot.
  • Monsoons (July to August) has medium to heavy rainfalls sometimes accompanying thunderstorms. The city offer moderate climate during monsoons, and is an ideal time for those who like rainy outing.
October and November months feature cool atmosphere. These month are favorable for sightseeing and other tourist activities. In fact, the period is ideal for Tamil Nadu tourism. find ouut the predominant wind directions during differentb seasons in madurai?
collect the normal wind speed for different months as instructed in the class for madurai and interpret the result by drawing suitable graphs.

Madurai is one of the best and beautiful place. I like madurai. In Madurai there are many beautiful places. Madurai is a temple city. I thank god to live in Madurai.I like very very much in my Madurai.
