Best Season / Best time to visit MM Hills
MM Hills are located around 3000 feet above sea and level and have a moderate climate throughout the year. The summers are mild and cool and winters are cold. There are three main seasons that the MM Hills experience. They are summer season, winter season and monsoon season. The mornings are usually extremely misty and this attracts a lot of species of birds to the area. Tourist can escape the heat of mainland Karnataka by visiting the MM Hills during the summer season. Despite the cold winters it is a good time to visit. Tourist must be well prepared for cold temperatures and bring warm clothing.
Traveling during the monsoon season is possible and tourists can see many waterfalls during this period, however it is best to be careful as the roads may be damaged during the monsoon season.
Summer season is during the months from March to May. The temperatures are moderate and range in the high twenties. The minimum temperature during the summer is 20 degrees Celsius and the maximum is 35 degrees Celsius.
Winter months experience a temperature in the early twenties. The temperatures usually range from a low of 12 degrees Celsius to a maximum of 20 degrees Celsius. Winter is from December to February.
