Leh palace, an impressive palace and a major attraction for tourists, is a 9 storied palace constructed way back in 17th century for the comfort of King Singge Namgyal. Situated on the ridge of a hillock, it is a miniature version of the renowned Potola in Lhasa, Tibet.
Presently the palace, once the home of Royal family, is functioning as the branch office of Archaeological conservation organization of Indian Government.
A tower named as the Victory Tower is placed above the palace, at the top of the Namgyal mount, which is an added tourist attraction.
