u can go to ladakh in october and enjoy ur trip over there as the weather will be good then but u cannot predict the weather conditions over there.so, plese try to carry all the safety measures with u if the weather gets harsh. going by air is good its around 40 min flight from delhi. by road, the roads will be blocked by the mid of october(from rohtang pass due ...moreto snowfall and land slides) so be carefull. please check the condition.staying overnight in camps is not advisable avoid it.

Below is not true..
Overview & Best Season of LadakhIn Ladakh, the summers (March to May) are hot and the mercury level rises up to 40°C. But the winters (November to February) are chilly cold and the mercury level comes down to very well below 0°C and the whole area will be covered with snow during winters. Monsoons offer less rainfall.
Hemis festival in the month of June and Losar festival ...moreare major celebration in Leh. Tourists throng to this place during the festival seasons.
Best time to pay a visit in Ladakh is June to September, keep off heavy snow falling days during December and January.

I went to Ladakh and Leh 4years ago on my royal enfield with a friend. Guys its not the destination that exited me but the experience of the journey itself. When I reached there it was heaven...It is the highest motorable rode in the world...once you land there at leh just ask for momos and hot momo soup served Tebetan style...it was the most sumptuous meal that I ever had...Then ...moreI rode up to the salt water lake known as Pangong Tso,170km from Leh. It's 134km long and only 1/3 portion is in the Indian region, the rest in China...If you've seen 3idiots then you will recognize that place...Just wear light weight warm clothes to avoid tiredness during the expedition...and carry a lot of chocolate...i'm telling you, you will not have a better excuse to enjoy the sweetness at its fullest since you will need energy to survive the cold.

Ladakh is a unique land of contrasts . There are abundant rivulets that seep through the expansive desert of a high altitude terrain. It has bone chilling temperature that will give you frost bite and a sunburn at the same time if you stand in the sun. Live it yourself.
