This wildlife sanctuary is located at a distance of 45 km from Kurnool near Nandikotkur. It spreads over an area of 614 sq km and is a home to a wide range of animals and birds. Rich in flora and birds, Rollapadu Wildlife Sanctuary is ideal place for wildlife and bird enthusiasts.
Some of the animals found in this sanctuary include Black Buck, Bonnet Macaque, Indian Bustard, Indian Roller, Sparrows, Mynas, Russell’s viper, Indian Cobra, jackal, Wolf and Indian Fox. Besides, it is also a dwelling place for Great Indian Bustard, which is an endangered bird.
Visitors can easily reach the sanctuary as there are regular bus services available from Kurnool to Nandikotkur. The best time to visit this sanctuary is during the months of October to February.
