Best Season / Best time to visit Kumily

The small town of Kumily normally experiences a tropical climate, as the weather hovers around the extremes all year round. Summers are hot in Kumily, and winters are pleasantly cold. True to the rest of the state, the monsoon season in Kumily is quite harsh.

Summer

Summers in Kumily generally stretch from the month of April to the Month of May. The temperature during this time will hover around a maximum of thirty three degrees Celsius (33° C) and a minimum of eighteen degrees Celsius (18° C).

Monsoon

The town of Kumily also experiences good monsoon, like the whole of Kerala. Kumily experiences monsoon during the months of June, July, August and September, and this season is not tourist friendly as the rains can be quite heavy, thus discouraging sightseeing or travel.

Winter

The winter in Kumily ranges from the month of September to January, after which the climate gives way to spring. The temperature during the winter will hover around a maximum of twenty eight degrees Celsius (28° C) to a minimum temperature of fourteen degrees Celsius (14° C).

The best time to visit Kumily would be during the months of September to March, as soon as the monsoon declines. The weather during this time is generally pleasant, and tourists can experience the beauty of the region during this time.
