Set around 35 km from Almora, this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva and has the legacy of one of the twelve Jyotirlings. The temple assumed significant and considered as sacred since Surabhi and Nandini rivers flows down and meets at this place.

The temple consists of a cluster of 124 large & small stone temples. Monsoon festival is held during the months of Shravab (Aug to Sept). During spring season (Feb to March), Mahashivratri Mela is also held, which draws a lot of devotees and tourists.
