Kozhikode is a destination which can be visited all through the year. Summers have warm climate and winters have pleasant atmosphere. Heavy rainfalls occur during the monsoons in June to September. Summers (March to May) have a maximum temperature around 37°C to 39°C and a minimum of around 30°C. Winters during December to February have a temperature range of 18°C to 32°C. Onam, the national festival of Kerala, is celebrated with many fairs and festivities during August - September. Vishu (usually on April1 4), Easter (March) and Id-ul-fitr (October) are some of the religious festivals celebrated here and attracts many tourists.
