Best Season / Best time to visit Konni
The place experiences tropical climatic conditions and the summers are hot and humid. Summers can be a difficult time to visit the place, if you are not used to the hot conditions. The monsoon season brings extensive rainfall much like other parts of Kerala. The winter season is a good time to visit the place and one can experience mild climatic conditions during this time.
The summer season is from March to May and temperatures range from a minimum of 32°C and can rise up to around 36°C. The highest temperature recorded is around 40°C. April and May are the hottest months of the year.
Monsoon season is from June to September. The South West Monsoon is responsible for bringing rainfall to this region and it is difficult to experience any outdoor activities during this time. Trekking and nature walking is not possible due to the heavy rain. The place may also get some amount of rainfall from the North East Monsoon.
The winter season is from December to February. Conditions are much milder and day temperatures are in the mid twenties. Temperatures can rise up to a maximum of 28°C, during this period. December is the coldest part of the year. It is advisable to carry protective clothing as temperatures can drop steeply during the night.
