The Rabindra Sarovar or the erstwhile Dhakuri Lake is a magnificent artificial water body spread over an area of approximately 75 acres. Situated in South Kolkata near the Salt Lake city the Rabindra Sarovar has fast developed as a favourite picnic spot for nature lovers. Facilities like boating swimming as well fishing (seasonal) are available at the lake.

The onset of winters brings the great visitors to Kolkata alongwith the beautiful weather. Migratory birds from Siberian as well as the other Russian regions shift their bases to the century old trees surrounding the lake.
