The Gurusaday Museum is a fine example of how the culturally active and artful Bengalis have managed to keep their arts and culture alive even through the turmoil. Complete with a rich collection of art forms depicting social traditions, religious practices, social issues and nature the museum is an amusing dwelling.

Situated at a distance of 18 Km from the city the museum was created in 1961 and opened to public in 1963. The Gurusaday Dutt Folk Art Society is presently in charge of the maintenance and upkeep of the museum. The museum boasts of a collection of over 5000 unique and innovative exhibits of arts and crafts of Bengal.
