A sleepy locale, surrounded by wooded hills, Nagothana is situated on the banks of Amba or Nagothana rivulet .The main object of interest in Nagothana is the opportunity to see ‘pathemaries’, a type of country boats and other small country boats navigating through the creek. Musalman Bridge, a fabulous historic monument constructed in the year 1580, is an eye-catching sight. Traveling through a centuries old bridge is really amazing. This historic monument is believed to have built by Kaji-Ala-ud-in to facilitate the march of troops from Ahemmad Nagar.

Located in the midst of natural hilly terrain, Nagothana is a wonderful place for spending the holidays. Other major picnic spots in Nagothana are Pali Ganesh Mandir, Alibaug Seaface, Raigad Ropeway, and Hot Springs at Uddhar.
