Gaimukh, which literally means cow’s mouth, is a small village in Bhandra District of Maharashtra. An old temple dedicated to lord Siva makes Gaimukh an important holy place in the locality.

Gaimukh is famous for the Gaimukh mela lasting for 15 days during the occasion of Mahasivarathri and is an important fair in this region attracted by a large number of people. Not only people from the nearby locality but also from distant places attend this festival, which is celebrated as a mark of respect to Lord Siva. Another prime attraction of this place is the spring and cave temple dedicated to the Kuramvars.
