Koderma is a small town that is located in the Koderma district of the state of Jharkhand. The town is a scenic place and the quaint town has still managed to maintain some of its rustic charm. The surrounding regions of the town are home to many dense jungles. One can find many species of fauns and flora in this region. Recently, Koderma has been highlighted as a good place for tourism and many developments have taken place in the region.
A main center of attraction in the region is the Tilayia Dam that is present here. The artificial reservoir that has been created here provides tourists with the opportunity for boating as well. This scenic picnic spot has become extreme popular. One can find the tallest Shiv Ling in the world located at a place called Dwajadhri Hill. The lingam is known as Har Har Dham.
One can also visit the Satawagan Waterfall that is located amidst dense jungle. The waterfall is difficult to access and as it is surrounded by hills. There are rock paintings that can be seen in the area as well and these are also worth checking out. Koderma Forest Reserve, located here, is also worth a visit.
