Weather & Best Season of Kodaikanal

Kodaikanal has a subtropical climate. During summers (March to May) the average temperature ranges between 11°C to 20°C. Winters are very cool with maximum temperature is about 17°C and minimum touches about 8°C. During January, ice formations are seen in night and temperature can drop down to freezing level. Kodaikanal has average rainfall during monsoons (June to September).

Summer festivals with many cultural programs, flower shows and fruit shows, boat races, and adventure sports are very attractive and many tourists visit here during this festival season.

Best time to visit here is all through the year, especially during summers and winters. Avoid monsoon.
